A1GP
Firstly, many thanks to playette of SNC for the tickets.
I went there
with Lian Chee ahead of keegan’s convoy who was still waiting for
convoy members to show up. I arrived there at 9.30 just in time to
catch the Integra (one fo my favourite FF cars) cup with foot long hot dogs and bottled water for breakfast the cost us RM10 each. Didn’t know that VTEC were that loud.
Shift, Keegan, his wife and wife’s friend
arrived later. Not sure of the time, but i know it’s much later but
lucky enough they are on time to catch rolling start of the A1GP. Boy, was it intense! the engines roared so loud that i can feel my eardrums vibrate as they zoomed passed the grandstand. I’ve no choice but to use tisue paper to make a makeshift earplugs to prevent me from going deaf. Alex Yong
manage to achieve 4th palce (7th at start). quite an achievement, but i had a mild migrane later that day. a side note, Malaysians still fail to respect other country national anthem. Guess I’m one of the few rare ones who stood in attention when the Sweedish flag rise.
As the first race finishes, the Petronas Amature Cup was heald. Then a dance performance by people dressed in traditional ourfit of all different race in our much diverse country. just as the rain ended after the driver parade, the Negaraku was played and everyone showed their respect by standing in attention. At least Malaysians still know how to respect their national anthem.
Later, ikandarat,
nuckaim, zasryn, gatecrasher, G arrived to catch the standing start
(featured race) which was delayed due to rain. Thank God for gate, who brought cotton gause to replace my rolled-up-tissue-makeshift-earplugs.
I didn’t wait for the race to eand and left early because didn’t want to get caught in the jam. plus was kinda hungry since i didn’t have lunch. it was a smooth ride to 1U, minus the burning sensation on my face form my tan at the grandstand.
