In our defense
With reference to the slander posted by Founder/Paksu at www.satrianeoclub.com

I’d
like to inform everyone (when this forum opens to the public) that it’s
all a deliberate lie, trying to tarnish our image and mission for the
club.
Kami
Einhander, keegan, shift, zasryn, rusty nail, dir3wolf, iridescent,
First off, the ‘kurang ajar’
that was mention was merely a strong enquiry of their promises they
made 4 months ago that has yet to be fulfilled (Apexi turbo timer lucky
draw). Instead of answering to our questions which probed deeper into
their mismanaged accounts which was closed to public and their
incompetency of handling the t-shirt sales which dragged for two full
months, the threads were deliberately hidden or deleted. This shows
that the forum admin are hiding something form the members (personally i’d call this as kurang ajar). And this
caused an outrage. The names mentioned above are legitimately elected
committee members, which is also influential active senior members in
both forums and gatherings/activities. They have no ties with the so
called newbies that registered and caused havoc. it’s easy for Founder
to jump into conclusions especially when Founder went on a banning
spree on committee members who still pressure Funder to give a
satisfactory answer on the on going censorship (closing/deleting
threads) and other questions that he brushed aside.
Mereka
ini bercadang hendak menjadikan kelab ini sumber pendapatan lumayan
mereka.
orang membayar; cubalah kira sendiri.
Yes, www.satrianeoclub.com
members did have a members meet up with GTI club members before. And at
that time, the committee was not formed yet. There were there to gather
information on club registration and making it official thus entitle www.satrianeoclub.com
members to benefits by sponsors and also endorsement by proton. A week
after the meet up with GTI members, the committee was formed and they
unanimously agreed that a one time RM100 membership fee is too steep
and further discussions and meetings were held on that subject. The
committee has yet to reach a conclusive proposal of the membership fee
which is entirely voluntary (latest news is that a one time fee of RM50 plus paid members will get a goodie bag containing not less than 5 items). The forum will still be free for use for
normal members while paid members will have exclusive rights on
additional forum features and other benefits form the club sponsors and
supporters. These details were also discussed with the admin of www.satrianeoclub.com
however they could not agree to the terms as merchandising has to be
transfered to elected members and the forum has to run on a shared
admin basis, not a dictatorial admin, like what www.satrianeoclub.com is right now. Fueled by greed, Paksu even went further to impose a Rm500 yearly fee and RM200-300 monthly service fee if www.satrianeoclub.com is to be officially registered. This statement was denied by Founder, Paksu and Farina.
The main
reason why the admins of the forum refuses to officially register the
club because they want exclusive merchandising rights, which was lead
to abuse by them. Furthermore, the reason why we committee members are pressing for a official registration, is that we can take the club to greater recognization by the public and also benefits from club sponsors and supporters. Lastly, the admin have confused a forum with a proper managed car club. They think that by putting the word “club” into the forum, makes it a club. That is what they want people to think, so that they can merchandise on the name.

Spontaneous Trip to PD
Since the JB trip was canceled, most of us are rather free on Saturday
night. We are so free, that Ikandarat came up with a spontaneous night
trip to PD for joyride. And a planned walk on the beach. Enough talk,
here’s the pics.

Keegan, Nuckaim, Ikandarat and Iceblue having a small chat while waiting for Gate to arrive.
We had a tight convoy of 6 cars. tight means that we stick close together with 2 cars gap, front and back. thankfully that we had this convoy on the night of a weekend so there’s little traffic that gets into our way.
when we reached a newly tarred straight stretch on the highway, we were given the green light to "stretch our legs". first time i took my neo up to speeds of 175km/h. this time it was easy to reach that speed even without down shifting to 4th gear. must be the lighten crank pulley. thanks to MYTHELOGY.
right after PD toll. waiting for the rest of the members who are paying for their toll fare.
At first Ikan wanted to go for seafood. since it’s already 11.45pm, most restaurants are closed. without much choice left, it’s mamak with live telecast of some football match. I wasn’t interested about that though.
Come all the way to PD just to eat roti john, satay and nasi goreng while watching football.

Arrived at the beach. hmm.. what to do??

Hah… aku tau nak buat ape kat pantai.

Nuckaim at work… S.. A.. T.. R.. I.. A.. N..

SATRIA NEO CLUB, Ice’s signature
Drove for 45 minutes just to play with sand. and the tide was really really low, so we didn’t have the chance to dip our feet. Later that night (morning, more like it) Neoryder called with news from Founder regarding our ongoing conflict between committee members and forum admin. We then wasted no time rushing back to KL to meet up with Neoryder with latest updates.
Driving wayyy.. past my bed time is indeed dangerous. plus the dimly lit highway makes me even more tired. Nevertheless it didn’t stop me from smoking a modified wira where the driver thinks he can overtake me from the left.

Sepet

This will be the second Malaysian movie that I’ve watched this year.
[OT]
Before this was Puteri Gunung Ledang (PGL) which i find it awful and slept through the 2nd and 3rd disc. Yeah, they only came in VCD format then. I bought original, mind you.
[/OT]
Anyway, I got my copy of Sepet at the regular speedy outlet for RM25 for the DVD option which claims to have 5.1 audio. After inserting the disc into the DVD player, i was really upset with the features. The only option available was play movie and screen selection. There was no audio option nor subtitle options. Really disappointing, indeed.
Now, moving on. I’m happy to say that Sepet did not make me sleep.
I’ve watched the entire approx. 100 minutes, right till the credits. I was not bored, but i was not entertained enough.
The story line was good at the start but gets really corny at the end. in fact, it was really predictable the moment Jason/Ah Long (played by Ng Choo Seong) starts weaving through traffic with his motorcycle
recklessly.
Furthermore, the camera is stationary most of the time throughout the entire show. Mostly due to the fact that there’s very little action scene. And maybe it’s Yasmin Ahmad’s style. I do have to admit that the scene where Jason/Ah Long and Orked (played by Sharifah Amani, she’s really really REALLY cute) on the jetty, and the abandoned bus stop did capture the moments of those two lovebirds in their own world. HOWEVER, it was recycled throughout the ENTIRE movie. When Keong (played by Linus Chung) was hospitalized, when Jason/Ah Long introduced Orkid to his friends, when Orkid and her dad (played by Harith Iskandar) played scrabble (i think) at their garden, Jason/Ah Long family dinner, AND especially at the last scene when Orked read Jason/Ah Long’s letter in the car. I find that EXTREMELY annoying when there’s people speaking off camera. not to mention that he’s barely audible.
Another unforgiveable sin is the censorship board being overzealous snipping away scenes and leaving with discontinuity and irregularity even in the same scene. yes, i hate censorship. i equate them with thieves that steal scenes and ruining the moment.
I’m only giving two, out of five stars for Sepet. One because it was interesting enough to keep me awake thought out the entire movie, and the other because i find Sharifah Amani really really REALLY cute and i just like watching her. No thanks to a production crew that can only afford one camera and a director who thinks it’s okay to use the same tripod-camera minus the camera man scene through out the entire show. and also no thanks to the irritating end scene where dad was left out the picture, though he can be heard talking.

Mugen Powered Neo
ZOMG!!! Mugen Powered Neo spotted!!!
I do admit that I’m a little rice-ish, but this has gone way overboard into the abyss of Ah Beng-ness.
Guess
he didn’t know that Mugen is Honda only tuning company, and TRD is a
Toyota only tuning company. Of curse, unless he’s using Mugen Power Air
Power Max, VS and fuel magnet that only can be bought from Brothers,
then i can clearly understand the HUEG Mugen sticker.
or maybe toms sticker is having year end sales.
Moving on…. somemore
It seems that most of my friends have already abandoned friendster blog. First was Nigel. Well, he now got his own dot com which is very rarely updated ever since he got his Neo.
Then it’s Andrew, which have moved on to blogspot along with Hilmi, though i don’t recall Hilmi having a friendster blog. And yes, blogspot has been the favor of many blogger. Even the joint blog (Samad Palz) was hosted in blogspot.
The question now lies, to move on to blogspot or to stay? I can move on to blogspot which i believe almost all of my 50 friends would be happy. Since they won’t receive any e-mails form friendster regarding my attention whoring blog. But then, it’ll mean I’ll have to transfer 90over post to the new blog. not only that, my intended audience will not be seeing what i write about them. not that i ever did, and not that they ever want to. I guess my greatest reluctance is the ease of use of friendster. or should i say i’m lazy to learn how to use wordpress. Until then, guess i’m stuck here.
