Murderous Dog
It’s that time of the year again where learning institute initiate the annual mass killing of white lab rats in the name of education and knowledge. yes, it’s dissection time for the form 5’s which Kim Yoong is undertaking. And being eager, as always, wished to have hands on experience dissecting a rat. So, after a short trip to Petaling Street pet store, i got 2 lab rats awaiting their doom on wednesday. however, one died prematurely. story as follows.
Happier Times: Oddball sniffing the rat out of curiosity
Barely settling in their new home, the rats was greeted by Oddball, which is fond for other smaller creatures. Oddball, being brought up as a spoilt in house dalmation, everything is considered toys for her. which is why she was waging her tail happily sniffing at the two new white guest nested in their cardbox home. Then, without warning,
*ngap*
Oddball grab the rat by it’s head with her mouth which she instantly released the moment i scolded her. As for the rat, it lied on its back, breathing heavily, twitched, released it’s bladder content and then stop breathing. it’s eyes from bright red faded off, to crystal clear yellow as the heart stopped beating. No bruises or external wound found on the rat, which leads me to conclude that it died of cardiac arrest from the shock it suffered having its head inside a canine mouth.
lifeless….. RIP little fella (other rat in hiding underneath shredded paper)
Note to self: keep Oddball away from any bite size creatures. cockroaches and insects are exempted.
