Are Malaysians Ready For Freedom of Speech???

by kah-yoong

Do take note that this post has nothing to do with ISP banning access to Malaysia Today.

I was surfing trolling in LYN forums and then i came across this post made by obefiend

its a free country. you want freedom of speech. you get freedom of speech. now you want them to STFU pulak make up your mind you drones. during mahathir time where got people protest like this because mahathir rules with an iron dildo. now mahathir no more and you can express your ideas openly you want to revert back is it?

i’ve been to a marilyn manson and KORN concert before. i saw
quite a few christian bodies protesting against the concert and calling for a ban. i even got a bible flyer ( thous shall not worship false idol bla bla bla…watever) when i was watvhing manson

so why u never hear these protests on newspaper in the UK. the only paper who would pyblish them are The Sun and Daily Mail. these two are known for their sensationalistic crap stories just this May the Daily Mail launch a campiagn to ban emo band from staging concerts in the UK. The cliamed that emo bands are responsible for the sudden rise of suicides among teens. the first victim of the campaign is none other that MCR.

here.. read it yourself

Emo protests in UK

i dont say what PAS is doing is right. all i’ms aying is its within their right to air protest.

The way i see it PAS is just trying to get themselves in the news again. They use to be the numero uno opposition party. Now they are have to play third fiddle to PKR and DAP in Pakatan rakyat. in order not to look like a castrated monkey they pull this banning and protest stunts to assure their members that they still have their cajones intact. stupid really.

source

The thread was about the recent Avril Lavigne concert at Stadium Merdeka 29 Aug 08 and the recent weeks of protest by PAS. Of all post this is the most mature comment made. The rest of it are just rants to call PAS to STFU. With such childish acts from both sides and the lack of respect of other people’s opinion, freedom of speech and freedom of expression has a long way to go in this country.

on the side note, tomorrow is independence day. And i’ve yet to see one flag being flown on cars, or shops. Even though the rakyat is angry with the current ruling party, is it necessary not to respect the country independence?

RM50 Misadventure

by kah-yoong

Last sunday outing, I got myself an AAA grade K750i replica housing for RM50 to fix my broken k750i (i was desperate, could not live with a pencil case phone with no camera nor vibrate). For an imitation goods, RM50 is allot to pay for. But it comes with an extra set of side buttons, so sounds like a good deal. Plus the finishing is good with no flashing on the sides and parting lines, no bur at the screw holes. It is premium pirated goods.

Yesterday, a day after sunday, I couldn’t wait any longer and started the housing replacement. My camera is with sweetheart, so i did not take any pictures of me taking apart my K750i and then reassembling it again in its new body. It was an easy task. Most of the parts are clip on except for three areas where it comes with three pairs of screw. One pair for securing the LCD screen onto the main body, one pair for securing the front plate to the main body, and the last pair for securing the rear plate to the main body. The camera module and keybaord are removable for easy assembly and disassembly.

fast forward the boring stuff

Then curiosity took over and I was playing with the camera toggle switch where it detects camera lense cover open and closes. It was so tiny, no bigger then a needle and I broke it which left it in permanent off position. >.< If i’ve broke it into permanent on position, it wouldn’t be that bad because I can activate and deactivate the camera software via the menu. but with the toggle in off position, even when i activates the camera, it shows a black screen with a message to open the lense protector slider. to make matters worse, this time i could not get any sound from the ear piece at all although the loud speaker is working.

It was a rather fun experience, feels like paying with model kits. But then, I forgot that I’m not good with model kits.

You Did Us Proud, Lee Chong Wei

by kah-yoong

I was having dinner with sweetheart, marc & gf, and WK at a Kota Damansara restaurant with a large projector screen showing the live telecast. The first point of the first round which went to China’s Lin Dan really caught me by surprise. Lin Dan was very fast and aggressive. The entire match was one sided where Lin Dan was attacking more frequently and consistently which secured him the gold medal in just two rounds.

Although he did not win the gold, but getting to the finals was no easy
task either.  Thank you Lee Chong Wei for winning the first and only Olympic (silver) medal for
our country.
