Glowing Thunder Beads

by kah-yoong

Madeofhonorposter When I first saw this movie trailer, my thought was, "this is going to be another my best friend’s wedding movie" and almost gave it a pass. But I went on with the movie anyways, and all I can say when the show ended was "glowing thunder beads".

Simply awesome for a romance comedy. What I particularly like is the "honesty" part at the starting (where tom met Hannah)and at the end (where Tom confess to Hannah). Oh, and the Scottish jokes are fun too.

The Temp

by kah-yoong

uncategorized-dsc00092_resized.jpgThe condition of my K750i is deteriorating. I can barely hear the caller through the ear piece, it’s like volume is down to 40%. Having it in loud speaker mode sounded worse. The sound quality is choppy and cracks occasionally.

And then i got this.

This phone does not have a camera. Heck, it does not even have vibrating mode at all. Say hello to 9300

Light Reading

by kah-yoong

The major contributor to my internet addiction, believe it or not, is reading. Previously I was an active troll, trolling in discussion boards and occasional invasion and derailing threads simply for the LULZ of it. As age caught up, and cancer and aids spreading like wildfire in LYN kopitiam board, I got less involved and took up light reading. Not to say I stopped trolling forever, just that I’m very selective on which thread to troll.

I read whatever there is to read, starting with LYN RWI discussion board. It took great discipline not hitting the reply button and trolling. But it didn’t last as political keyboard warriors flood the board like PS3 and Xbox360 fan boys duking out at each other. This prompt me to move on to Wikipedia as it offers allot of interesting articles. Sometimes I landed myself onto interesting sites by chance, like 419 eater, which is a scam baiting site. And sometimes it’s necessarily, like product reviews at mobile-review.com for detailed review on mobile phones.

Soon, it was March 8, and I took interest in politics, hence the additional links at the side bar for my quick reference whenever I launch firefox (my blog is the default page). I particularly liked PKR’s blog as they have a very cynical tone in his writings.

Lately, Nigel gave me a link to Serpo.org, something regarding UFO conspiracies and intergalactic species exchange. I’ve reached page 10 of the 30 pages article. And being a skeptic, and a /b/tard, my only comment is "pics or it didn’t happen". There were many inconsistencies and events which contradicts each other. For example, the alien Ebens does not keep time, but relate their activities to the position of the sun. If that is so, how did the Ebens know when to arrive to Earth for an intergalactic species exchange? or when to return the volunteers back home after the program ended. There is also issues on human space travel at light speed and the Eben’s evolution to their environment which does not makes sense. There are 20 more pages to keep me entertained, and I’ve also stumbled across Open Minds Forum which mainly discuss the serpo project. more reading materials, yay.

p.s. funny thing though, I still could not get myself to read the EULA.
