Back to Square One

by kah-yoong

For the first six months, it seems like i was finally going to accomplish one new year resolution, something that has never been accomplished before. Ironically, I have undone most of the hard work. My gym membership expired two months ago, and that means two months of no daily cardio, sit ups, crunches, and bench presses. In just two short months I’ve lost upper body muscle mass, and added a layer of blubber on the area i was suppose to tone.

Guess I can understand why Nigel reacted the way he reacted when I told him that I did not plan to extend my gym membership. He started gym visits again, after a long break. I probably should too.

Happy Mid Autumn Festival

by kah-yoong

smile.gifHappy Mid Autumn Festival, everyone. Althought I’ve been busy these past few days, I did take some time off to spend on this special event with my dearest at my place where we lit lanterns on the tree. The last time I played with lanterns was at her place, a year ago.

It wasn’t easy getting that shot above since the lanterns keep moving from the evening breeze together with long exposure time for night snots, most pictures turn out blur. I guess I can’t expect much from a 3 year old point and shoot camera.

Blogging on Overdrive

by kah-yoong

Since the beta test of Friendster Blog 2.0 (running on wordpress 2.6), and participating in the discussion board, I’ve been spending more and more time on blogging. I’ve even made new friends too.

smile.gifI would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Rosidah for crediting me in her wonderful blog. Thank you very much, I really appreciate that.

I’ve also suggested to Marc and WK to revive our joint blog (which has been dormant for the past 2 years). Marc was eager to partake the adventure once again, and WK, needs a nudge or two from the both of us before he finally agrees.

KC’s Accident (as narrated by crealqler)

by kah-yoong

The Making of the Kacang Corner.

A view of the newly christened Kacang Corner.

How come those rubbermarks are so wide apart.. where got car wheelbase so wide apart.. (look at the camry for comparison)
kcng’s car is already facing sideways from here on..

Kacang melompat.. makan rumput.
From here on, oil sump shatters.. motul engine oil and coolants smears all over the grass and road.

The Kepoh Crew arrives.

Front bumper dislodged, mudguard, oil sump in pieces, random piping, grill, etc all over the place..

You gotta be amazed he managed to countersteer the car in the GRASS to realign the car back straight onto the road.. ALL during the mishap.
Rally driver potential.

Fast and efficient AAM representative on the scene..

As we pick the pieces and move on with our lives..
Here is the part where you scold/nag kcng to not rempit on the road.
What is probably the result of lift-off oversteer in midcorner.
Am glad he is a ok.

SOURCE

=====================My Words=====================

It happened just outside the residential enclave where I live. I wouldn’t go “I told you so”, or rub salt into his wound because I, myself is a rempit. That corner is a very nice high speed corner with lots of straights before the bend, flat ground that doesn’t puddle water and no blind spots into the corner(yes, it’s my playground too). That is until the municipal counsel add those bumpy yellow speed breaker a year later when that road made public. It made that corner a very dangerous place to speed, since those yellow strips provide far less traction compared to tarmac, plus the effect of the tires bumping from strip to tarmac reduces contact time the tire has on the road. I wouldn’t recommend any faster then 60km/h on normal passenger car with cheap Goodyear NCT5 tires, without cutting the apex and remain on the designated driving line provided. The driver can add up to 20km/h more if he knows the racing line there well. But then again, it’s a public road, so drive carefully please.
