Finally got into facebook

by kah-yoong

I’ve created the account more then a month ago, but only started actively using it early this morning. I feel much more connected to my friends in the sense that all their activities are logged and updated for me to see.

THIS is my facebook profile. Click it to say hi.

I Like to Move it Move it

by kah-yoong

It has been quite a while since the prequel of this movie was released. But fret not, it will amuse movie goers weather or not they have watched the first installment. Brief introduction and summary of the first installment was played in the beginning of the movie so the audience won’t feel lost. Plus, Madagascar 2 doesn’t relate heavily to the prequel, except for the very last bit about Marty’s scar on the butt.

Gmail Themes

by kah-yoong

Gmail has added a new feature, themes! There are other addons before this, but nothing really catches attention like different themes to change how your Gmail looks like.

The themes can be selected from settings > themes

One of many themes to choose from. This one looks like a real desktop, with a notepad where e-mails are displayed.

The Terminal theme brings back old memories of monotone 286 computers. Hacker wannabe would like this.

I still prefer the classic look.

Backup Your Blog Post

by kah-yoong

I’m sure most of you have freaked out when friendster was inaccessible for more then 24 hours during the past week. What’s more worrisome is the number of blog entries vanished just like that, in one downtime.
It’s always good to have a backup copy of your blog post in the event of server corruption. So, instead of loosing 3 years worth of blog post, you probably loose one or two months work.

Here’s how you backup your blog post

1) Go to: Manage>Export

you’ll see the page above

2) Click on Download Export File

3) A Download popup window will show (i’m using Firefox, IE users might see a different window)

4) regardless what browser you are using, choose the “Save File” option and download the file into your PC.

5) You have now backup your blog post to your PC.

Downloading your backup might take some time depending on how many post you have. Mine is about 3MB for 250post.

This tutorial is for blog post backup. Pictures are not included in the backup file. They need to be downloaded separately.
