Backup Your Blog Post
I’m sure most of you have freaked out when friendster was inaccessible for more then 24 hours during the past week. What’s more worrisome is the number of blog entries vanished just like that, in one downtime.
It’s always good to have a backup copy of your blog post in the event of server corruption. So, instead of loosing 3 years worth of blog post, you probably loose one or two months work.
Here’s how you backup your blog post
you’ll see the page above
2) Click on Download Export File

3) A Download popup window will show (i’m using Firefox, IE users might see a different window)
4) regardless what browser you are using, choose the “Save File” option and download the file into your PC.
5) You have now backup your blog post to your PC.
Downloading your backup might take some time depending on how many post you have. Mine is about 3MB for 250post.
This tutorial is for blog post backup. Pictures are not included in the backup file. They need to be downloaded separately.

Er… I’ve been trying to download them but the server keeps dropping the connection. Moreover I can’t update any post these days cos once I click the publish button, the connection drops also!

Yeah, I really hope they fix this problem soon. It takes a lot of patients to blog here these days
.
I managed to download my blog after a couple of trials, only to find out that the file couldn’t be opened.
It feels like hours before I can publish a post and I’m really bothered about the position of these security codes on my blog. Not like here, they are now placed beside my comment box…hidden behind my sidebar. Before that, they blocked the view of my comment box.
